Costa Rica

What an adventure! We spent two weeks in Costa Rica. Traveling this time I got a wee-bit homesick. Our primary reason for going was to take advantage of the affordable dental they have there. The dentist I went to was amazing - the best dentist I have ever been to. The savings was incredible and I'd recommend it to anyone.

The city of San Jose is a city. It is at a high enough elevation that the weather was cool. However, even though it has a low crime rate there are bars on all the windows, razor wire on the tops of fences and security guards anywhere and everywhere you park. Which I did appreciate but found I really would not want to live that way.

The rain forest is beautiful... plus the monkeys, butterflies, street jugglers, cutter ants, waterfalls, coffee growing everywhere, flowers, good food and very sweet people. Costa Rica is very Eco-friendly. They mostly power the country with solar and wind.

I am grateful to have had the opportunity to visit this country. I am even more grateful to be an American. I love it here! We have a wonderful homeland. God bless America.
